Pharmacy Advocacy Fund

The MPhA Board of Directors has voted to fund a lobbyist year-round to work on the Pharmacy Advocacy Task Force’s agenda in conjunction with the other organizations who are members of the Minnesota Pharmacy Alliance. MPhA’s funding for the lobbying activity will be raised through donations to the Pharmacy Advocacy Fund and all funds raised will be used solely for that purpose. Our goal is to raise $19,000 annually.

We welcome contributions from small and large businesses as well as individuals. Individuals, please give what you can. Businesses, please consider making a $1,000 per store contribution to aid in this important work. Your support of the Pharmacy Advocacy Fund will ensure MPhA maintains a strong voice on important pharmacy practice, business, and professional issues in Minnesota’s legislative and regulatory arenas. Pharmacists Political Action Committee (PharmPAC)

Contributions play a significant role in electing and supporting pharmacy-friendly legislators who understand the importance of pharmacists and pharmacies. These legislators are willing to author bills we need and vote for our issues in committee meetings and in legislative sessions. PharmPAC funds help make the Legislature the most pharmacist/pharmacy friendly and knowledgeable it can be. While the Pharmacy Advocacy Fund is used to pay for a lobbyist, PharmPAC contributions are given directly to support pharmacy friendly legislators and caucuses and party units. The Pharmacy Advocacy Task Force and its lobbyist have identified important caucuses and candidates to provide PharmPAC support to help further our advocacy agenda. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to support pharmacy advocacy in 2024-2025.
