The Pharmacy Advocacy Task Force (PATF), which consists of MPhA, the Minnesota Society of Health-System Pharmacists (MSHP) and the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, held a strategic planning retreat on June 26. The group reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for patient direct access to medications through pharmacists in the four medication categories included in Minnesota HF 1140. These categories, where no medical diagnosis is necessary, are 1) Naloxone, 2) Travel medications, 3) Smoking replacement medications and products, and 4) self-administered contraceptives.
