Please join us in welcoming our newly elected officers to the MPhA Board of Directors. These dedicated leaders bring diverse experience, insight, and a shared commitment to advancing the profession of pharmacy and supporting pharmacists across Minnesota. We look forward to their contributions as we continue to strengthen our community, advocate for the profession, and promote patient-centered care throughout the state. Thank you to out outgoing board members for their years of service to advancing our mission. Athena Cannon, Michael Harvey, Rebecca Pickler, and Sean Stewart will be missed and we're grateful for your contributions. 
Metro Board Member Jordan Banister, PharmD, CDCES Clinical Ambulatory Pharmacist, CentraCare Dr. Banister earned her PharmD from North Dakota State University in 2015 and currently serves as a Clinical Ambulatory Pharmacist at CentraCare. She became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) in 2024, furthering her expertise in supporting patients with chronic conditions. Her diverse pharmacy background includes experience in clinical services, medical cannabis, and retail practice. Dr. Banister is actively engaged with MPhA, where she serves on the Events and Education Committee, the Student Presentation Subcommittee, and as a co-chair of the MTM Academy. Her work reflects a strong commitment to professional development, mentorship, and advancing the pharmacist’s role in patient-centered care across Minnesota.
| | Metro Board Member Amanda Brummel, PharmD, BCACP VP, Clinical Ambulatory Services Amanda Brummel, PharmD, BCACP serves as the Vice President of Clinical Ambulatory Pharmacy Services. Dr. Brummel has been employed by Fairview Pharmacy Services since 1999 when she graduated from the University of Minnesota. While at MHealth Fairview, she has built and practiced and advanced Comprehensive Medication Management (CMM) as a part of MHealth Fairview’s Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Program in multiple locations in both primary care and specialty clinics. Dr. Brummel has responsibility for the MTM Program, the Anticoagulation Program, the Outcomes department, the clinical development and integration of ambulatory pharmacy services and the compliance department. Dr. Brummel is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota. She has published multiple articles on MTM and pharmacy’s role in the care team.
|  | Rural Board Member Abigail Sirek, PharmD Lead Pharmacist, Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital Abigail Sirek has been a pharmacist at Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital (EBCH) in Ely, MN since July 2022. Abigail works in the inpatient and outpatient settings, providing medication expertise with infusion therapy, emergencies, infectious disease, and transitions of care. One of her biggest passions is education, both for patients and community members. Prior to EBCH, she completed a PGY-1 residency with the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in Paynesville, MN, focused on rural health and ambulatory care.
