Type 1 Diabetes: Pathophysiology, Progression and Prevention

Approximately 1.7 million Americans have T1D, with a documented decrease in life expectancy of 14–18 years, according to CDC. Recently, a new therapeutic option has been approved to delay T1D progression in pediatric and adult patients.
