August is National Immunization Awareness Month

From NCPA website, Aug. 3: This is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM), established to encourage individuals of all ages to make sure they’re up to date on their vaccinations! There are several ways you can celebrate #NIAM18:

• Download logos and banners to use on social media
• Remind parents of the important role they play in their child’s health
• Encourage college students to get any vaccines they may need for school
• Remind everyone about the upcoming flu season
• Follow #NIAM18 for more ideas!

Every year in August, National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of immunization and the need for improving national vaccination coverage levels. NIAM is co-sponsored by the National Public Health Information Coalition (NPHIC) and CDC.
