MPhA Town Hall – Prescriptive Authority: Where Are We Now?
Description
During this presentation, we will discuss how two providers, Guidepoint Pharmacy and Coborn’s Pharmacy, have recently implemented programs to take advantage of the recent changes that allow Pharmacists to prescribe self-administered hormonal contraceptives
to patients. We will also have time to address your questions and concerns in an open forum.
Objectives
- Attendees should be able to understand the Protocol for Pharmacist Contraceptive Prescribing set forth by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
- Attendees should be able to consider business strategies to market a new program to patients and describe various billing strategies.
- Attendees should be able to describe workflow efficiencies and best practice tips to streamline a new service into daily practice.
