Description:

This special session will provide an overview of issues related to the continuum of vaccine confidence and key communication strategies to build confidence among those who are hesitant.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe at least four common themes that drive COVID-19 vaccine confidence and how they intersect with a person's demographics.
  2. Discuss key components that facilitate confidence regarding vaccination.

Lynn Bahta

Lynn Bahta, RN, MPH, CPH, Immunization Clinical Consultant, MN Department of Health

Lynn Bahta is a Public Health Nurse at the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), serving as the Immunization Program Clinical Consultant. With over twenty years of work in immunization, Ms. Bahta provides subject matter expertise to MDH immunization programs, local public health, and clinicians. In July 2019, Ms. Bahta was appointed to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, a national group of medical and public health experts that make policy recommendations for licensed U.S. vaccines. In addition to technical consultation, Lynn does extensive work for MDH in vaccine safety-related activities. 


Continuing Education:

This presentation is being submitted to the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy for Continuing Education credit approval (one hour).

To receive Board of Pharmacy credits for this program, the following must be completed:

  • Full participation/completion of webinar either during the live program or the archived presentation

  • Completion of survey post webinar acknowledging participation

Board of Pharmacy credit processing takes place on the 15th of each month.

The Minnesota Pharmacists Association is accredited by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
